Terms of Use
The rules for buying, selling, delivering and lending on MKA Malls. Last updated 27 October 2026.
About these terms
MKA Malls is an online marketplace operated by MKA Malls Ghana Limited (“MKA”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Ghana under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992). These terms apply whenever you use MKA Malls: to shop, to sell, to deliver, to lend through our finance partners, or simply to browse.
By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use MKA Malls.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. The details you give us must be true and kept up to date, and you are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.
Retailers, wholesalers, delivery partners and financiers must also be verified by our team before they can trade. We may ask for identity and business documents, and we may decline or withdraw verification if those documents cannot be confirmed.
Buying on MKA Malls
Products are sold by the retailers and wholesalers named on each listing, or by MKA itself. Prices are shown in Ghana cedis and include the seller's price; any delivery fee and any discount are shown before you pay. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Paystack.
You choose delivery or collection at checkout. Collection is only offered where the seller has a collection point. Every order comes with a code: give your delivery code to the rider, or your pickup code to the seller, only once the goods are in your hands. Giving the code confirms you have received your order.
Secure payments and refunds
When you pay, MKA holds the money. It is released to the seller only when your delivery or pickup code is confirmed, or when our team decides after reviewing the order. The rider's fee is held the same way and paid when the delivery is confirmed.
If something is wrong with your order, report it from the order page or through Report an issuebefore you give your code. The money stays held while we look into it. If we decide a refund is due, it goes back the way you paid: to your card or mobile money wallet (which can take a few working days), or to your financier's credit line for a pay-later order.
Buy now, pay later
Credit on MKA Malls is provided by independent finance partners, not by MKA. A financier decides whether to lend to you, how much, and on what terms, and any repayment is owed to them under the agreement you make with them. MKA lets you spend that credit at checkout and records what you spend; we do not lend money or set repayment terms.
Selling on MKA Malls
If you sell as a retailer or wholesaler, you agree to:
- list only goods you have and are entitled to sell, described honestly and priced in good faith;
- keep within any price range MKA sets for a product;
- prepare paid orders promptly, mark them ready, and hand them over only against the buyer's code;
- keep your collection points accurate if you offer pickup.
Products you add yourself are reviewed by MKA before they go live. Payment for each sale is held until the buyer confirms receipt (see Secure payments), then credited to your wallet less MKA's commission, which is shown on every payment. You can withdraw your available balance to a bank account or mobile money wallet. Money that is on hold cannot be withdrawn.
Letting MKA manage your shop
A retailer may ask MKA to manage their shop. A named MKA Store Manager is then assigned, who may update stock, put lines on or off sale, and propose prices. A price changes only if you accept the proposal. You are told about every change, and you can withdraw the permission at any time from your storefront page.
Delivery partners
Delivery partners are independent and must be approved by MKA. When you accept a job you commit to an expected delivery time, and you may mark a delivery complete only with the buyer's delivery code. Your earnings, less MKA's commission, are credited when the delivery is confirmed.
The Food Court
Food Court orders are confirmed by an MKA agent, who sends you a link to agree the order and pay. The link expires if it is not used in time, after which the order is released. MKA collects the payment and settles with the vendor. Prepared food cannot usually be returned, but you can report a problem and we will look into it.
What you must not do
- sell or buy goods that are illegal, counterfeit, stolen or unsafe;
- take payment, or arrange a sale, outside MKA Malls for a buyer you met here;
- share, guess or misuse another person's delivery or pickup code;
- post false reviews, or harass other users or our staff;
- interfere with the platform, or try to access data or accounts that are not yours.
Fees
Shopping on MKA Malls is free; you pay the price shown, plus any delivery fee and, for Food Court orders, the service fee shown at checkout. Sellers and delivery partners pay a commission on what they earn, shown on each payment. We may change our fees, and we will tell sellers and delivery partners before a change takes effect.
Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or cannot be verified. Where money is held for an affected order, we will release or refund it fairly once we have reviewed it. You can ask us to close your account at any time.
Our responsibility
We work to keep MKA Malls available, accurate and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Each seller is responsible for the goods they sell. To the extent the law allows, MKA is not liable for indirect losses, and our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Ghanaian consumer law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as MKA Malls grows. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you about important changes before they apply. Continuing to use MKA Malls after that means you accept them.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and disputes are for the courts of Ghana. If you have a question or a complaint, contact us and we will do our best to resolve it with you first.
